Avin Advanced Medical Center
FATreatment for back, neck and knee pain, rehabilitation after surgery and stroke, and specialist physiotherapy for seniors — using advanced equipment such as high-power laser and shockwave, with experienced staff and an individual treatment plan for every patient. Contracted with Day Insurance.
Avin's physiotherapy and occupational therapy department was established to reduce pain, improve movement, build muscle strength and restore the ability to carry out everyday tasks. It was the first service Avin opened, and today it sits alongside the dialysis unit as part of the centre's wider clinical offering.
Physiotherapy and occupational therapy are two sides of the same path: physiotherapy addresses pain, range of motion and muscle strength, while occupational therapy targets everyday function — dressing, eating, writing and using the hands. For many patients the two are delivered together as a single programme.
In both services, a treatment plan is drawn up after an initial assessment, shaped by the person's physical condition and functional goals. Care is delivered by experienced staff with specialist equipment, in a calm setting suited to older adults and children alike.

Each treatment plan follows an initial assessment and reflects the person's physical condition, the severity of the injury and their own goals. Physiotherapy aims to reduce pain and restore range of motion; occupational therapy aims to restore independence in daily life. Where it helps, the two run together as one coordinated programme, with home exercise training and family involvement built in.
This centre's services are provided under the non-governmental public tariff . For Day Insurance policyholders, payable costs are calculated and covered in accordance with the terms and benefits of the contract, which plays a significant part in reducing patients' out-of-pocket costs and making rehabilitation services easier to access. To find out the tariff for the service you need, please contact the centre's reception.
For cases that have not responded well enough to conventional treatment, these two non-invasive, surgery-free methods are available in the physiotherapy department.
High-power laser penetrates the deeper layers of tissue, stimulating cellular repair and reducing local inflammation. The treatment involves no needles, no medication and no recovery period, and is typically used for chronic pain that has not responded to conventional treatment.
In shockwave therapy, controlled pressure waves are directed at the injured area to stimulate local blood flow and the body's natural repair process. It is usually recommended for conditions such as heel spurs, tennis elbow and chronic tendonitis, and is carried out in short outpatient sessions.
These services are not only for recovery after injury; for many chronic pains, movement limitations and difficulties with everyday tasks they can be an effective alternative or complement to invasive treatment, and improve quality of life.
