Built so patients in South Khorasan no longer have to travel for care

It started from a clear need in South Khorasan

Avin Isar Specialist Medical Clinic is a treatment, rehabilitation and care centre in Birjand that has grown step by step, in line with what patients in the province actually need.

For years, some patients here had to travel to Mashhad or Zahedan for treatments that could have been provided in Birjand. For someone who needs dialysis two or three times a week, that means hundreds of kilometres a month, travel and accommodation costs, and an exhausted patient and family — before the treatment itself has had any effect.

Avin was built around exactly that problem. The centre opened with physiotherapy and rehabilitation and five electrotherapy cabins, then added occupational therapy for children and adults, and in June 2026 the 15-bed dialysis unit came online — the first private dialysis centre in South Khorasan.

Today, alongside treatment, our health monitoring kiosk records and analyses visitors' vital indicators, and health education for patients and families is part of the treatment itself. Future departments follow the same rule: a department opens when its equipment, staff and licences are complete.

"Quality, close to home" is not a slogan for us; it is how we decide. We would rather open a department later than open it before it is what we promised patients.

How Avin Isar grows

Opening day was more than a ceremony for us; it was the starting point of a commitment that was clear from the outset — specialist treatment and rehabilitation, here in Birjand and within reach of people across the province.

Since that day the centre's departments have come online one after another, and the same approach continues: adding capacity where there is real need, without promising anything the equipment and the team cannot yet support.
