Using insurance cover at Avin

Avin Advanced Medical Center is working to establish contracts with basic and supplementary insurers, in order to reduce the cost of medical and rehabilitation care for patients in South Khorasan and make quality services easier to access.

At present the physiotherapy department has a contract with Day Insurance, and the centre's services are provided under the non-governmental public tariff. Contracts with other insurers are being negotiated; until these are finalised, services are provided on a self-pay basis.

The patient's national ID and identification documents
A specialist's referral or prescription
Medical records and relevant test results (if available)
A supplementary insurance referral letter (if required)

Following the recent contract between the Birjand branch of Day Insurance and the Association of Retired Education Staff, Avin's physiotherapy department is contracted with Day Insurance and provides the services required by retirees and their dependants within the scope of the insurance benefits. Services are provided under the non-governmental public tariff and payable costs are calculated and covered in accordance with the terms and benefits of the contract.
